Terracielo Ramona B&B Homestay is located in Penne's historical centre. A quiet location within a fascinating medieval town in the province of Pescara in the Abruzzo region of Italy.
Abruzzo, with it's National Parks, sunny seaside and medieval monuments offers plenty of exploring and recreational opportunities, whether you're looking for a summer holiday of beach-going, hiking in the mountains, exploring local towns sampling regional cuisine, or enjoying winter sports like skiing.

There are several seaside towns to explore, only 25-50 minutes away by car. The National Park of Abruzzo with it's many hiking trails and spectacular views can also be reached in less than an hour. Check out our photo gallery below and see where we've been exploring!

We have a roster of excellent guides in Abruzzo with a variety of options, if you'd like to venure a little further out on a day-trip. Ask us for suggestions and we are happy to make a recommendation and/or help book an excursion for you.

Our friend and favourite guide of Abruzzo is Marino, a regional food expert & sommallier. He organises truffle hunts, wine and olive oil experiences that are not to be missed! He can even tailor-make a tour just for you.

You can also sample fine wines locally at Cantinetta Mava, just two minutes away, on-foot. Aldo, the wine merchant is not only a wine expert, he's also a wine maker. He also has some excellent light food available for suitable pairings with wine!
